422. Willie Nelson - Stardust

Release Date: 1978
Label: Columbia

Moving away from the country to Tin Pan Alley, Willie Nelson gives us a set of pop standards. To be honest, not many of them are known to me, which is entirely my own fault. Of the ones I am familiar with, 'Unchained Melody' has been bettered and Ray Charles arguably recorded the definitive version of 'Georgia On My Mind'.

346. Willie Nelson - Red Headed Stranger

Release Date: 1975
Label: Columbia

Sometimes life forces you to go against the grain and make your own judgement calls. This is one of those times. I may be mocked to the end of time, compared to the man at Decca who turned down the Beatles or worse. Some people will tell you this album is fantastic. It's not. I was glad when it finished.
