330. Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti

The front of a brownstone

Release Date: 1975
Label: Swan Song

Yet again, this is another Led Zeppelin album I already own - and probably the one I am least familiar with. It does contain some of their biggest hits (e.g. Kashmir) but as a double-album it's not one I'm keen to listen to too often.

Rating: 7/10

225. Led Zeppelin - IV

On a rough wall hangs a painting of an elderly man in a field with a large bundle of sticks tied to his back.
Release Date: 1971
Label: Atlantic

Like the previous three Led Zeppelin albums, I already own this - and it's the one I've owned the longest. Probably bought because it has 'Stairway to Heaven' on, it is also my favourite Led Zep record.

Rating: 10/10
Favourite Track: Stairway to Heaven

187. Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin III

A collage of butterflies, teeth, zeppelins and assorted imagery on a white background, with the artist name and "III" subtitle at center.

Release Date: 1970
Label: Atlantic

The third (obviously) album from Les Zeppelin is perhaps the worst of the band's quartet of classic albums. It is still very good, however. Having owned this for a few years I feel there is no need for me to listen to this again.

Rating: 8/10
Favourite Track: Immigrant Song

157. Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin II

A composite sepia photograph of the band, with members of the Jasta 11 Division of the Luftstreitkräfte, in front of a hydrogen cloud expanding from an outline of the Hindenburg exploding.

Release Date: 1969
Label: Atlantic

Coming fast after the debut album, the Top of the Pops theme and other songs make up the imaginatively titled 'Led Zeppelin II (pronounced 'too'). Both albums were released in the same year and the fact they are both very good - the second being slightly better - is testament to Plant, Page, Jones and Bonham.

Rating: 8/10
Favourite Track: Whole Lotta Love

155. Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin

A black-and-white photograph of the Hindenburg

Release Date: 1969
Label: Atlantic

This is an album I already own.

Rating: 7/10
Favourite Track: Dazed and Confused
