367. Stevie Wonder - Songs In The Key of Life

Release Date: 1976
Label: Tamla

This was the first Stevie Wonder album I bought (and the only one I owned until starting this project). I purchased it on the strength of 'Sir Duke' - which is a brilliant, brilliant song. It's a double-album chockfull of hits.

Rating: 9/10

312. Stevie Wonder - Fulfillingness First Finale

Release Date: 1974
Label: Motown

This album should actually be sandwiched between Shuggie Otis and Eric Clapton, but I forgot to blog about it. It is considered to be the third of his four masterpieces. I don't think it is as essential as the previous two in the book. In fact, given the choice, I could leave it.

Rating: 6/10

293. Stevie Wonder - Innvervisions

Release Date: 1973
Label: Motown

Continuing a remarkable run of great albums for Stevie Wonder, Innervisions is tougher than its predecessor, as Wonder uses every iota of talent to rage against everything from racism to the then president, Richard Nixon.

Rating: 8/10

255. Stevie Wonder - Talking Book

Release Date: 1972
Label: Tamla

By 1972 Stevie Wonder had grown from child-prodigy to global sensation, and it is with this record that he finally removes Motown's shackles to record an album worthy of his talents. Of course 'Superstition' is the track that sticks out due to its familiarity, but the whole album is worth forty-minutes of your time.
