Widdleiddleiddleiddleiddleiddleiddleiddleiddleiddleiddle...! That's the sound of Eddie Van Halen playing the guitar. As we move towards the 1980s, we can see the progression of hard rock move from the likes of Deep Purple towards the likes of Guns n Roses et al. This isn't as bad as some make out, and I can hear traces of early Manics throughout - (i.e. there is a clear influence on JDB's guitar playing) but it isn't something I'd particularly choose to listen to.
