Following the demise of The Sex Pistols, John Lydon teemed up with ex-schoolfriend Jah Wobble (not his real name) and a couple of other musicians to form Public Image Ltd. Lydon was keen to distance himself from punk - a stance which saw him ditch his 'Rotten' monicker in the process -and release an album that could be considered anti-punk, or even anti-rock.
I found the album patchy, with some songs being brilliant (e.g. Annalisa), whereas there are others which seemed to be more experimental than what was necessary.
