Inspired by the Sex Pistols, Howard Devoto and Pete Shelley formed the Buzzcocks during the first wave of punk after meeting at Bolton Institute of Technology. Devoto left soon afterwards to form Magazine, leaving Shelley as the principal songwriter/vocalist of the North's first punk band. 'Another Music in a Different Kitchen' is their debut album, and actually has a pop-punk feel, except for the final track.
